Make An Appointment

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under federal law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, and medical services.

If you schedule your appointment at least three days in advance, Planned Parenthood South Texas can give you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. If you schedule your appointment more than 10 days in advance, you can receive your estimate within 3 days. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

Please note, that if there are additional services needed at the time of you visit, that will be an added cost. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
Please note that the Good Faith Estimate is not a bill and you may qualify for financial assistance to help pay for health services.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. To do so, please contact the Health Center Manager where you received services. You can also visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
